Default Max. Tire size on stock 2005 400 sportsman

Hi All,. I am in the market for some much needed tires for my sportsman. Right now I am leaning towards the mudlites. I don't want anything too heavy. What is the biggest that I can go with out a lift or spacers? Can I go 27" without robbing it of power? And how wide? 9" front and 12" rear? Thanks

27 might just take a little power out but not enough that it recks your quad.9 on the front and 11 on the rear is the most common but 12 would work.

You should be good for at least 27" but you will need to clutch your 400 sp.
