I was ridding today (80*) and when I got done ridding I could hear a hissing noise... I looked and there was a puddle of coolant from my overflow bottle. I know the bottle is not cracked and it still holds coolant in the radiator but it is eventually all gonna run out. I am trying to figure out why it is building pressure and got running through the collant system. It only overflows when it is turned off... I always let the fan run even when the wheeler is turned off. I am getting a little frustrated!!!
Hi, make sure that the back of the rad is clean aswell, I've seen this before where yes the front of the rad is clean to the eye but in between the fins of the rad is not and also the shroud around the fan (backside) needs to be removed once and a while to be cleaned otherwise your only getting half the rads capabilities. Remove the shroud and clean it out and not with a pressure washer you'll bend the rad fins, use a garden hose bud. It must be hot enough to be ****ing out of the bottle. Make sure your warning indicator works because if you overheat your ride a few to many times you'll be replacing the mechanical seal in the water pump. If you need anymore info let me know. The temperature is still rising a little when you shut the machine off. Even with the fan running if the machine is on the edge of overheating it must be getting hot enough to make the coolant overflow. The issues is why is it overheating??Bad coolant?? Plugged radiator??

Could be something simple like a bad radiator cap allowing coolant to over fill resevoir bottle? That is if you have checked everything else out on cooling system as mentioned above.
I have an '05 700 twin sportsman. It was doing the same thing. Blowing all the coolant out of the overflow cap. I changed out the radiator cap nad it stopped. However, the motor is still overheating (according to the tell tale LCD screen). My fins are clean as can be..I am at a loss...wondering if is an air bubble in the system...any thoughts?? frustrated!!

To eliminate all air bubbles run with radiator cap off until fan kicks on. Top off radiator,replace cap and check/fill resevoir bottle.
