I would gladly pay for NGK, or my personal favorite, Denso or ND, before I would use Champion for free. I have never had anything but lousy performance from a Champion plug. I don't know how they have stayed in business as long as they have.

+100 for this quote. I'm not sure what is in my 08 500 X2 but that plug has been working fine since day one. I have had many issues over the years with champions, sometimes right out of the box. The bad experiences have not been in quads (my 08 is my first one) but have been with lawn mowers and other small engines.

I had an issue with a lawn mower once where I couldn't get it to start. Swapped out the spark plugs for new champions and nothing. I put in NGK's and it started right up and ran fine the rest of the summer. If I have to buy spark plugs, I will always use the NGK's unless someone can prove to me that they are better for an engine then the NGK's.
