Well here is a little story for you guys.....
After my first service(50 hours) I did take it to the dealer for the service as it was still under Warranty. 2006 Sp 450's times 2.

He did take the NGK plugs out and put Champion ones in .....I am very much in favor of NGK plugs due to the fact I use them in my two snowmobiles with no issues.

I did question him on this issue and he told me The champion is a better plug for the Sportsman and he has seen the NGK's develop hard starting over time.

Now I didn't believe this and still don't .But with three years and near 3000 miles..... the Champions are Still in the two Sportsmans.

I am due for a plug change and I will get the Champions again even though I like and use NGK plugs.......Why I don't know.

And I trust this dealer he pumps out alot of sleds and Quads in the region.
These two dealers may know something we don't....
Did you ask your dealer who put the Champions in WHY?
thanks......Caper..........

Dealer put Champion plugs in my previously NGK plugged Isuzu Trooper back in the mid 90s. Going down the road a couple weeks later I heard a popping sound. Pulled over and the engine compression popped the insulator of a Champion plug. Took it back to the dealer and he said that they've been having problems and he swapped in the NGKs. No problems after this. Just my own experience. Nothing more.
