Default 2004 Polaris 700 efi VTwin Sportsman Quad?

Did Polaris make a VTwin in 2004?

There are 2 of these described as VTwins for sale that I saw online...

But is it a VTwin or a parallel twin, or???

I ask because I thought the BF and the prairie were about the only utility quads with a vtwin. Maybe artic cat also?

NO v-twins. 600, 700,800 are parallel twins(actually both pistons move in unison together)
Think of it as a BIG 4-stroke thumper!

Thanks..

Power wise, the vtwin is superior, correct?

Is there enough of a power difference to notice and feel?

I'm almost ready to buy a 2006 or 07 650iBF, but then I ran across the aforementioned atv in the thread title for less money.... So it got me to thinking for a second...

Thanks

I WORK ON POLARIS (mainly),but wont knock the other machines! V-Twins will generally give you more torque, plus most cases more power. Guess I'm just spoiled because of the KTM RC8, Our Aprillas and our new Moto Guzzi V-Twin lineup! BUT just my own opinion, on atv's you cant beat the new 850!! But dont sell the 700 and 800 short! STRONG motors! Good luck on whatever atv you choose! OPT

I have a 2004 700 efi and a 2006 700 efi the 2004 walks all over the 2006 theres about a 40 lb difference in machines.....I've raced a brute force as long as there is enough room I can get passed him.....I think the sp rides nicer than the bforce also sp steers easier other than that both machines are great machines.....
