Pull your stator cover. The little bolt that holds the pull rope spool on comes off and gets tangled up in the stator. It bends the little "trigger coil" away from the outside of the flywheel and that causes a no spark or intermittent spark. All you have to do is bend it back so that it almost touches the flywheel.

I have seen this happen MANY times.
