if the speedo still counts miles and hrs and the needle dont move. your gona need a new speedo. its sealed and you need to break the speedo apart. but upon doing that who knows what else would be broken upon doing that. pluse there are no replacemt parts for it other than either new one, or a used one.

the stator is under the recoil. you will need to remove the foot well, recoil cover and need to get a fly wheel puller to get to it.

are you shure the clicking is comeing from the rear axel? shure its on that side? it might be comeing from the tranny.

You can rent a puller at Autozone and it works great. I just did this job last week. Also, I would advise you to take pictures or make notes about where all the plugs go. The whole harness runs up under the hood and there are quite a few connections you need to make. My harness on my new stator was slightly different and I had to make a couple splices.

make sure the clicking isnt a bad bearing as some times they will make the same kind of sound when bad. imo

Default bearings and stator

how can i tell if its a bearing, or if its the transmission. and is there any special way to do this coil. like when you pull the fly wheel out, do you have to time it or anything. and also when we did the front cv axle, my friend released the shock and its still loose, is there a way i can compress it my self?

If you have AWD then your speedo is fine. its your "Hall Effect" sensor located the front right disk brake that needs changing .$44.77. easy to change. Part #39

if your shock is loose then your friend put something wrong back together. i usually can tell if a bearing is bad when its apart and i feel how it rolls. hard to tell until its ready to destroy itself and freeze up or come apart. you can jack it up and roll the wheel by hand and listen and feel real closely to hear if its grinding or if its fetching. you guys regreased before you put the boot on right, or did you replace it as a whole unit?
