I don't have a boot that I can measure but I measured my 30-06 and it's about 43 inches so yours is quite a bit longer at 49 inches. I would think that they make longer gun boots somewhere, maybe Bass Pro???

The gun boot that I have measures 51 1/2 outside end to end. Be careful with the gun boots as they will hold moisture and will rust your rifle if your not careful. Take it in and dry it out nightly if you have any rain. I saw a beautiful 338 Lapua all rusted up from a couple of days in a moist gun boot. How do you like your 204 Ruger. I want to get a varmint set up and was looking at the 204 and the 22-250. I 'm looking into making a Lock and Ride gun holder also to be used when the box isn't on the front but with the rack extensions on.
Take care,
Dave

Thumbs up

Dave, i just love the 204 i currently have a 223 and a 22-250 and everytime i go out the 204 is always the gun i choose for calling coyotes. what is nice about the 204 is you can see the impact of the bullet because of the low recoil. Oh and the half inch groups at 4000 fps is always nice LOL!!!

I'm in Northern Ontario, Sudbury. We mostly hunt moose but we shoot the ruffed and spruce grouse when we go for ATV rides away from our main moose hunting area. Some years are good and some are not. Guess it depends on how hard the winter was.
