You probably have the same problem I do, exhaust lobe worn off on the cam.

Cam is brand new.

I was thinking that as well. I didn't put the new cam in, so I wonder if it is possibly degreed wrong, causing the high cranking pressure.

That still doesn't explain why its blowing oil out of the breather.

 

on my 500 there is a crankcase breather filter on the left side, it looks like a fuel filter, maybe thats stopped up.

 

the book says that for abnormally high compression it is either a damaged or worn exhaust cam lobe or a decompressor malfunction. it is blowing into the box because of the high crancase pressure, its blowing back up the vent.

 

The problem is its not scavenging oil from the crankcase. There is a little coming out of the oil line going to the tank, but not as much as there should be. I don't know if the oil screen is clogged, or what the issue is.
