alright...got the issue all figured out this time. the cv joint assembly (the shaft in it) is bent and has a pretty good knick in it. so is took it out and ordered one...found a freaat deal on ebay. i am a big ebayer...saved almost a hundred bucks. will install as soon as i get it and let you guys know how it works out.
It is normal for the front axles to turn slower than the rear. Check these two videos, they will show a 20% gearing difference between the front and rear.

I am having almost the identical problem. Did you get it resolved and what was causing it?
