Another front fluid question
It's not the same. My 500 without ADC takes the regular Premium Demand Drive fluid. My 800 with ADC takes the LT fluid. The regular fluid is green, while the LT fluid is a very light honey color. The LT fluid is for front differentials with friction plates and over-running clutch (ADC). If you search the Polaris forums for "front diff" or "LT fluid" you'll find posts about this from me and SCRAMMYTODD. I've posted pictures as well.

This is just my point. I have looked at the other posts and from what I can gather, If you have ADC you must use the LT fluid.
If you DO NOT have ADC, then you can use either as I have seen where Polaris is getting rid of the regular fluid.
My manual suggests LT fluid, but this is just as confusing as ****!!

Another front fluid question
I heard that the new 2W-50 oil is going to replace the 0W-40 and 0W-50, but I didn't hear the same about the front diff fluid.
This is what I think about it:
The only difference between the ADC and non-ADC front diffs is that the ADC has clutch packs/friction discs in it. The rest of the internals are the same. So the LT fluid should be able to handle a non-ADC front diff just fine. So the LT fluid is probably backwards compatible, whereas the regular Premium Demand Hub fluid should not be used in ADC front diffs because its not compatible with the clutch packs.
Since the non-LT fluid has been working well for me in my non-ADC 500 for two years now, I'm going to stick with it as long as its available. Matter of fact, I'll probably buy a couple of quarts which should last several years since it only takes 5 ounces per change.
