dont know about the late 700's but they were replacing the exhaust header pipe w/ the 800's as it was a bigger hole and also the air snockel for more air to get in. clutch from a 800 was a improvement as well. maybe an offset timing key to advance the timing a little bit. just a couple of idears. maybe someone esle can chime in that knows for sure.

There are some aftermarket performance places like Aaen, Hotseat, Bikeman

Hmmm. I have a bone stock '07 Sportsman 700 EFI, and my brother in law has an '06 Grizzly 660 with an aftermarket clutch kit in it. After every drag race, mud run, or gravelpit wall climb, I come out ahead of him by a length. REALLY pisses him off. AND I out weigh him by 30 lbs. I don't know why the guy with the grizzly is beating you.

When machines are built there are alot of variables. You can take 2 sp800's against each other and 1 will consistantly do better.
If you look at the dyno graphs that are om the Aaen vs Bikeman links the HP numbers are 4-5 different stock.
