PLOW SETUP

Hi,
I am in the market for a plow setup for my son's 1997 sportsman 500. I am having trouble trying to figure out exactly what I need to level my gravel drive way and plow snow in the future. I would need a complete setup as it does not have a winch or anything else. I read that Swisher was the way to go because it has many attachment options. I really do not have much money to invest in it so I would be happy to find something used but I do not even know what I need.
Thanks,
Jim</end quote></div>
You will be monumentally dissapointed if you buy the Polaris Glacier2 plow. Although the hook-up/disconect couldn't be easier, the mounting plate is a flimsy piece of junk. I moderately pushed snow into a snowbank and after a few passes, I looked under the ATV and the plate bowed downward and upfront the bolts were pressing against the radiator. Polaris obviously never tested this product and has failed miserably!
I had to buy a new mounting plate and had a local welder re-inforce it. It has not snowed since so I have not had a chance to see if the "fix" works.
Others have made good suggestions on what to buy. Cycle Country, Warn, Swisher.

Yeah I am leaning toward Swisher because it accepts other attachments but I have not ruled out Cycle Country</end quote></div>
I forgot to mention Moose Utilities plows. VERY heavy duty, VERY reliable.
Mooseutilities.com I think.

PLOW SETUP
look at this one i know someone who had this type of set up read the thing about the mount it mounts on your rear trailor hitch and a arms. it has forks buckets and plows for that mount http://www.northerntool.com/we...70_200150824_200150824 they even have a rear suspention lockout to keep it stiff while pulling plows and stuff like a tracktor. http://www.northerntool.com/we...70_200333205_200333205 the pallet lifter is $129 the mount is $160 the plows are $170 to $270 the bucket is $400
so for mount $160
60 inch standard plow $220
palled lifter $130
bucket $400
it woud be around $910
it looks like is a preety strong set up. anyone ever try this set up? polaris made a set up similar to this me neigor had itworked good bolted on teh trailor hitch.
