I found that Venom prices and customer service are hard to beat!

Is there a discount for members of the forum since VIPER is a sponsor? How do you request it when ordering from the Moto Alliance website? I've tried to email them but they haven't got back to me yet and I'd like to order my winch.

Thanks!

I can only speak for the Viper. I have the 2500 and it works just fine, never had any issues with it.

I think that the topic was gorrila venom or viper but ok. and the cheapest warn is still around 300 dollars 3 times as m uch as a gorrila. and they are all the same parts just a diff sticker. So if you whant i will make and sell stickers like that for 200 dollars. haha. or you could buy a second one as a spare and still same $100 .

I can only speak for Gorilla. I ordered there 3000 winch from their Ebay store and have had nothing but problems. I spent 150 on installation after I ordered it and they sent the wrong hardware and apologized and sent new stuff. That took another week. When I spoke with their customer sevice I told them I couldn't even make the winch budge in free spool and I was told as soon as I get power to the unit it would unlock. Well it didn't. Makes noise on in and out but doesn't budge. So they told me they would send a new winch and they did but I already spent my time and my Polaris dealers time ( plus my 150.00) and still have NO winch. I have no desire to take it back and spend another 150 bucks and hope this winch actually works. Seems the dealer doesnt care about operation, once they spend their time if it doesn't work you still gotta pay. So now with all the accesories I bought from Gorilla I'm 250.00 in and have a broken winch mounted on my new rig. I was also told about their great owner who will make sure everything gets fixed if you have a problem. He must be on vacation.

I bought the cheapest winch I could find. Xtreme 3000 for $130 with the mounting bracket and handlebar mini rocker. I check it every time before I go out. Like may of the others here, I figure I could buy two more for spares and still not approach the price of a Warn. I have owned Warns before and just don't use them enough to spend the extra money. I love my disposable winch (so far).

What a lot of folks don't realize is that ALL winches are designed to FAIL before they reach their maximum single line pull rating. It's a safety thang.
