Default 2005 Trail Boss 330 EBS Upgrade

I am looking at a 2005 Trail Boss 330 for my wife. It does not have EBS (Engine Braking System) and my wife likes the quad but wants EBS. (I have engine braking on my Griz 450 and she really likes it.) I belive it was/is an option on the Trail Boss models. I have called 3 local dealers and none of them can answer my questions.

1) Can it be upgraded to EBS?
2) What are the part numbers for the EBS drive and driven clutches and belt for the '05 TB 330?

Polaris lists a generic 4 stroke EBS upgrade kit, but does not list which models it works with.

I have found several EBS drive clutches on Ebay, etc. but have no idea if they will work with this quad. Polaris has been no help in answering my questions.

Has anyone changed their non-EBS clutch system to EBS? How did you find the correct part numbers? Are there several clutch part numbers that are interchangable between models? I see the Magnum 330 models offer EBS and I can get the part numbers for that model, but don't know if it's compatible with the Trail Boss 330. Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

I believe its just the ebs primary clutch and the proper belt. The secondary clutch might be different but I don't think so.

The EBS upgrade kit WILL work on any non EBS Polaris 4stroke
Personally I think EBS is a waist. You can slow down on a hill by blipping the throttle.Or just go for a fast fun ride down to the bottom

OK, yesterday we took a test ride on the TB we're interested in. It does have an acceptable amount of engine braking until the engine RPMs drop to an idle and the drive clutch disengages. For the terrain and type of riding we typically do, I don't think adding EBS will be necessary. I found the braking on the Trail Boss to be very effective with little effort. If we were doing really steep terrain I can see where EBS might help to execute a more controlled descent. After gaining a better understanding of how the system works, I agree that for moderate riding, it is probably not worth the cost of the upgrade (~$500 just for the parts) on an $1800 machine. Thanks for your input. I'm still interested in compatible EBS clutch part numbers "just in case" I run across a great deal on Ebay and our riding gets more "technical".

So, does anyone know the individual part numbers of the clutches and belt that come in the 4 stroke EBS upgrade kit?

You can change secondary springs and get better backshift resulting in some braking
