antifreeze in oil 2003 & 2004 700
600/700 service bulletin #S-03-05.
All 2002/2003 600-700's are covered by this and certain 04 600/700 it came out 12/11/03 This covers any machine that is ridden where they have a chance of being in below freezing weather.Talking about condensation that can accumalate in the crankcase breather hose, it may freeze cause water in oil and pressure build up in the crank case. Recall seeing some of these machine that had blew the oil and water seal, oil stain was coming that was on the side of motor.
POLARIS is saying is that EXCESS PRESSURE and WATER in the crankcase could cause oil loss and severe engine damage. Take Care!

Hey Sidekick, just make sure your crankcase vent line doesn't have a "belly" in it enough to cause condensation to puddle, freeze and block the line. Most of the twins I've looked at have a straight path with little chance of condensation accumulating and freezing in the tube.
I modified my stock tube by making a 1/2 slit with an Exacto knife about 2" from the valve cover end of the tube. This slit will allow crankcase pressure to escape incase of blockage. The vent tube is thick enough that the slit will remain closed and not allow stuff to enter but will allow built-up pressure out and is basically what Polaris did to fix the problem.
If you can get your dealer to order an updated breather line, go for it, I have not had much luck with my dealer.
