Default Polaris Fan Motor

Anybody know of manufacturers that make Fan motors comparable to the Polaris fan motor?

On my Polaris my dealer wanted $320 for a new Fan,they are built by SPAL of Italy. I just went on line to SPAL's site and they sell the exact same fan on there own for $80. Give it a try.

Seems to me I've seen a few post where some have taken the fan motor to NAPA and got a match. Only caution I would use doing that is making sure it could take the mud and water.

Here is the link to SPAL SPAL USA

I just replace the whole fan, straight bolt on swap, your old Polaris fan should have the Spal model number printed on it, if Polaris still gets there fans from them for your year of machine.

I have replaced a Polaris fan with a SPAL fan - same thing 1/4 the price.

Ok, my bad, didn't look at the ATV section close enough, anyone have idea's on the fan I should need? I seen with weather plug but will I need male/female connector, or does the one attached work on Polaris wiring harness? Second, stock fan is 9", how would I adapt a fan from SPAL?

When I did mine Spal included two connectors, one was the correct one but if not I would of used the old one on the ATV if need be.

My fan was a 9" and there was no adapting anything the old stock $320 Polaris fan was the exact same,$80 Spal fan model number (VAO7-AP12/C0) both the old and new fan had the same Spal sticker.

My Polaris fan part number was P#2410123 . Here is a pic of one. (Notice the Spal VA07-AP12 sticker).

Here is the Spal 30100452 from there site. (It will have the (VAO7-AP12/C0) sticker when you get it.) The bolt holes are even the same ,it was a 30 min swap job to install it.
Changing the fan motor would be harder because they need a silicone seal applied before tightening the 4 fan motor screws.

Remove your old fan and look for a Spal sticker and just order another one from Spal not Polari$ LOL what ATV do you have?

WOW, I have a '00 Ranger 6x6, and according to the Polaris website, the fan is 9" model with part# 5242022, and the motor is part# 4170023. I have had the motor and fan out all ready, cleaned up the motor as best as I could, but the bearings are about to go. If I could make one of those SPAL fans work, that would be great, any idea's?
