Default Sportsman brake change

I changed the pads on the front of my 05 Sportsman 400 today. Everything went smooth yet one question; How tight are you supposed to screw in the backside plug on the pin that holds in the pads?

I screwed it in just enough to secure up the outer pad. That seemed to work. How far in is just right? Nothing on youtube seemed to address this?

thanks.

With master cylinder pumped up and calipers bled, just have the wheel off the hub. Turn the hub slowly as you tighten the set screw until you feel a slight resistance from the caliper pad. Then back of 1/8 turn. This helps set the primary braking pad along with aligning the caliper mount bracket to the rotor.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
