Rear drive shaft repair
#1
#2
If you are talking about the shaft between the transmission and and the rear gear case, you remove the roll pin from the transmission end of the shaft and it does slip back toward the rear gear case a little on the splines,BUT not enough to remove it from the atv! You have to move the rear gear case back a little to remove it completely! The manual never actually tells how to service the rear prop shaft itself (only how to remove the transmission and rear gear case)but this is the best way! It only mentions the shaft when the trans is pulled and even then it says to move the rear gear case back!(I never had to) Not a fun job! Be sure to grease the rear splines when you install back in.
