Polaris 500 magnum 4x4, 2001 Kawasaki ZX6R engine swap?
I was recently gave a 2002 Polaris 500 magnum 4x4 frame with a blown engine. It already has a 2 inch lift and black mamba lite tires that are practically brand new. The 2001 Kawasaki bike was crashed and the frame is in bad shape but the engine is perfectly fine along with the wiring harness.
I did some work for a guy and he simply gave me the ATV and bike to use as needed or to part out and sell.
I have access to a wide range of tools including a CNC plasma cutter, tig welder, mig, arc and standard plasma cutter, I can have a sprocket(proper diameter and ratio of course) built to fit the input shaft on the transmission of the Magnum and simply run the chain from the ZX6R engine to the Polaris trans.
The electrical work and fabrication of the frame won't be a problem. I have a full shop to handle such things and have built sand rail frames before.
I know the Magnum is a CVT, but if I put the Ninja engine on it, along with the clutch, build a shifting linkage, and engine mounts of course, my questions are would it work and would the transmission hold up to the extra 150 CCs?
I know this sounds totally crazy but I've been wanting to build a unique atv for a while now, and this chance just fell into my lap.
My thanks for any advice that you guys can offer.

If this guy can put a 700 snowmobile engine in a Scrambler you can make your project work too. http://forums.atvconnection.com/pola...y-project.html
