Default Must have tools----What are they?

What are the "must have" tools for working on quads/cycles?

I know I can dismantle my ride about 90% with about 5 basic tools but I'm wondering about other tools for tuning, engine work, clutch work,etc.....

I don't want a shop in my garage (but wouldn't that be great?!!) but I would like to start aquiring all the tools I'll be needing for the future work I'll be doing (avoid as much of those labor charges as I can).

So what are the must have ATV tools?

The most important must have tool for reassembly is a torque wrench.

Retaining ring pliers for doing bearing work .. those retaining clips can be a real pain to get out I understand!! Torque wrenches are a definite must, unless you're not planning to do any engine work.

Impact wrench, electric or air and a Flywheel puller are important engine tools.

Warning, tool collecting can be addictive!

Ain't that the truth!! I'm off to look for a good roll-around tool cabinet....maybe a Craftsman since they have the life guarantee.

Get a T-handle for 1/2" sockets. It beats having a bunch of different T-handle wrenches in your box.

Ain't it the truth...I can't ever go to Sears without coming out with new sockets or wrenches! Darn tools have a hold on me...

for polaris atv's ,your going to want to get a primary&secondary clutch puller,if you want your clutch work to go easy then also get a clutch press service tool and the clutch holding fixture..you might want to get a 1 3/4 socket for when its time to change swingarm bushings..
