Default Warrior Motor Swap

Hey I am going to do a motor swap on my 1999 warrior but I dont know what engine to drop in it. I thought about the yamaha xt600 but they had some gearbox issues(i believe fifth gear) and it needs to still be reliable so i dont know. I then thought about the xr600 but now i want something with more power than both of those. Air cooled would be alot easier and i was hoping for a motor with 50 ft.lbs. or more. Any help would be appreciated.

THANKS

Surely you jest! The Warrior frame is terrible by today's standards. (The teenagers in this forum weren't born yet when I was riding a Warrior.) Putting a bigger, faster engine in one will just make it handle all the worse. Most any other frame would be a better choice for a project quad.....

Default Warior change of plans

Giving my gf the warrior and starting to build one ground up. High power build. Going to run banshee brakes, long travel a-arms, swing arm, axle, steering and elka shocks, most will come from lonestar. Building the frame with 1X.120 mild steel tube (4130 cromoly did cross my mind). To top it off with a ducati 748 L twin. What are some thoughts? Thanks for any input.
