xr650l in 400ex frame, any others out there?

01 400ex frame, 02 xr650l motor, 03 450r plastic. my quad should be done soon and i'm looking for others out there that have done this mod. pros and cons? i bought the quad with the conversion done but it needed the whole engine redone.

well finally got the 4-wheeler back after a couple of trips to the shop. here's what i've done: new stator, new rocker arms, gear and shift fork in the tranny, connecting rod on the crank, hotcam stage 1, used oil pump and clutch basket and JE 102mm 10.5:1 piston. this is my first sport 4-wheeler. it seems to have alot of torque. i used a gps to get the top speed and it was 63mph, which seems a tad low. i may play with the gearing. it also has the stock 400ex exhaust, which i think is restricting it. does anyone know the diameter of a xr650l head pipe?

Sounds like a sweet project...Id think 63 mph is a bit slow too..seems like 85-90 mph should be no problem for the engine.. No idea about the 650 head pipe dia....maybe ask at thumpertalk..
