Default Banshee Crank Seal

I have a 96 Banshee. It smokes on the right side, and I have been told that this is from the crank seal being bad. Can anyone verify this for me? I am also very mechanical when it come to cars. Although I have not yet attempted messing with this 2-stroke motor I am thinking about replacing this seal myself if I can get some input from those of you who might have some knowledge in this area and can give me some pointers. Thank you, all help is greatly appreciated.

yah get a manual , the banshee has the best split just a lot of bolts , seal wise dose it just start to rev at idol. The port size, carb eregs alot can change the twins , more packing . just smoke live with it or jump in with a manual , not to hard.

Yeah your crank seal is bad. The Banshee engine is fairly easy to work on. You might want to have your head shaved and perhaps some port work on the cylinders while you have it tore down.

How does that work? I've listed this question in 2 different places and haven't got 1 responce. I figured you'd have that thing back together by now. I got mine back up here this weekend and brought my brothers. Sounds like a manual will be the ticket. I have some duct tape if you need it! Merry Christmas!
