How do you get scratches out of plastic?

Ok, I screwed up! I took the stickers off my new Prairie 650 and was using Goobegone to remove the glue, but instead of using a soft towel, I grabbed the closest thing witch was a paper napkin. Now I have scratches in my plastic from rubbing the napkin on the plastic. So if you can put scratches in the plastic that easily with a paper napkin, can you get them out as easily? What do you use, and were do you get it? Please help this is really frustrating!

ok dude. i have had some problems like this before. first try some pledge for wood floors and stuff. that helps prtect it and makes it super shiny. mother's car wax might work as well, it usually does. if worse come to worse go to your local shop and buy some plastic re-new. that stuff will make the oldest crappiest plastic look brand new. i have used it many times and i have always been pleased.

Many places sell a product called plastic renew. It comes with multiple sand paper grits, and a specialy formulated polish. The more you work and polish the better it looks. Supposed to work wonders. The kit is about thirty bucks but you'r supposed to able to do several quads with it.

Dennis Kirk sells a 3 process plastic scratch remover. It's called Novus. It works really good on shalow scratches but not so good on deep scratches. Also use that armor plate by Armor All for your car to keep plastic shiny and fade resistant. Helps when cleaning mud off too.

The novus stuff will not get out anything but fine, hairlike scratches. I rolled my raptor and scratched up my front fenders. I was not that impressed with the novus. Save your money and buy some graphics to put over top of them

Hey Guardog, what happens if you roll it again or scratch up the graphics. It look just as bad. I'm not sure there is anything to really help with the deep scratches.

Easier To change graphics( and cheaper) than replacing plastic or removing scratches from plastic........ but to each his own.

Only way to NEVER roll it ...leave it in garage ..or ride like a
WUSSY!.....either way,.. not for me I have over 6 K in each quad & still run em like a wild man ...thats why they were built.
