Default Kawi moving production of some models to Thailand

KAWASAKI MAY MOVE MOTORCYCLE PRODUCTION TO THAILAND: Japanese News Sources Claim That Honda May Follow Kawasaki?s Lead To Find Cheaper Labor | News | Motocross Action

My 2009 KLX250S was made in Thailand. Quality and fit and finish are good. It is not up there with its nearest competitor the Yamaha WR250R, but it was $1,400 less when I bought it so that was a factor in my choice.....

I thought I had seen where Kymco (or another Thai manufacturer) was setting up production facilities in Japan a year or two ago.

Wonder if they'll (Honda,Yamaha) follow the trend of having all the 90cc models and smaller contracted to a Thai manufacturer?
