Exclamation 660 Raptor(stock) or ltz400 (7k into bike)

I'm facing a decision... I currently have a 660 Raptor but i feel it's too heavy to be jumping big... Is it worth dropping down to a 400 which is only ~20lbs lighter? or is that really not going to matter? The ltz400 has approx. 7k into it..

I think the LTZ would be a bit better. Those 'ol 660's always seemed to tippy for my taste. If you want to go big nothing beats a 450's suspension.

Exclamation 660 or ltz....

what bout if I upgraded my front suspension on my raptor? would that be much better than the ltz?.... I just don't feel like losing 260cc & ONLY dropping my weight by 20lbs is worth switching quads to me.?....

Don't let cc's be a judge for you. You may lose a bit of power on the LTZ but, not much and won't lose anything on a 450.
Considering the money it would take to upgrade suspension you could sell and use the money for a 450 which like a said, is ideal for jumping and racing. Only thing you would lose is a little bit of low end grunt used in tight trails. You would gain incredible suspension and one heck of a machine.

Wait...is it the 400 or the 450? You should get the owner of the other quad to let you ride it before you make your decision. A lot of your questions will be answered real quick.

Did say 400 but, like I said if a suspension upgrade was an option than selling the raptor and using that cash was an option. If jumping is what your into a 450 is what you need.

i have a ltz 400 that is fully bulit for racing, elka shocks and 440 BBK(and alot more!) anyways its a dream on the track....but the cams are for top end so its not much of a trail quad, so if your looking for a bad a$$ track machine then the LTZ is your best bet!!!....in my opinion. im sure whatever you choose will be great.
