Screw which bike is better. Run what you brung and lets go ride! I've run at the front, and run at the back. Sometimes I've barely been able to see the people I was trying to ride with they were so far out in front.

When Im trail riding anyways, having the nicest bike is not a plus, because I beat the hell out of them on the trail. Having a purty quad is to much to worry about when Im running through tree's/brush or submerging it in water. To be honest, I've always had more fun on beaters more than anything else.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
So as of right now it is looking like the Predator is the most underated followed closely by the Z400 as being underated, and the YFZ450 is the most overated.

Its interesting how people say the quad they have is underrated.
I think every quad is overrated and underated. At least on this forum. I think probably every quad has been over and under rated in some way shap or form. People on here do it all the time. Until you go out and ride EVERY quad in every condition under every circumstance you will never know whats the best. And the obvious truth about it is that every quad has its weaknesses and strengths. Everyone is different. I mean, every quad is different. There is not one quad that does EVERYTHING better than another quad.
Also, every quad is underrated. You can have fun on anything. It doesnt have to be the fastest. I have tons of fun wheelying my brothers raptor 80. It IS all about HAVING FUN!!! People who argue about the fastest have some self esteem issues (haha, jk). Competition is fun but it gets soo out of hand soo often.
I agree with what someone said about the price of quads. The are overrated and should be a lot cheaper.
There will always be new hypes and people will be biased and have their own opinions. But that shouldnt affect the way we ride and to a degree, what quad we choose. Just choose the quad that suites you needs. Budget, riding style, intended use, and terrain type. Heck, if you have to get two! Someone who buys the "fastest" quad out just cuz its the fastest will be happy with his purchase for a while but thats only mental. Often they are just so convinced they have the best that nothing else matters but that. Anyways, you guys get the picture.
i think its mostly this way becuase of media and magazines...the yfz actually is an amazing atv and it deserves pretty much all of the attention it gets, but wouldnt you say that the media can get kind of carried aaway?

i agree 100%.....
it is all mental. my 400ex has a stock motor but is pritty much race ready except the motor. and well i let a guy drive my 400ex and i sid it had a national 440 kit and he drove it and was aall like that thing is a power horse and sid he had the front end streight up in 5th gear. well what he didnt no is it was bone stock motor. and the guy also ownd a stock 400ex that was at his house. see all i did was say a lie and it made the guy feel that it was a power horse.
the guy sid my quad halled ass compaired to his 400ex and wanted to no how much the kit was.
