It has just been announced that Pres. Obama is the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.

I'm flabbergasted, and at a loss for words!
How can a sitting commander and chief, who has the Armed Services fighting wars even be NOMINATED for that prize, much less WIN it?
To me this just looks like another sign of weakness for America. Am I wrong to think this way? What do you guy's think?
I guess it's just another feather in his cap.
He will be given this award in December for his efforts in promoting diplomacy.
I guess we should all sing kum-bah -yah around the camp fire!

I thought they gave it to him because the US Dollar is at a 14 month low against the other major currency and he just sticks his thumb up his azz. Peacefully.

This is along the same lines as Gore getting it for a bunch of lies and in accuracies.

We've been cracking jokes all day about this. All he's really done so far is speak. How do words alone win the Nobel Peace Prize? It makes me ashamed to be Norweigen when they vote like they do.

He was awarded the Nobel Prize the same way he won the Presidency STAR POWER!!
For years the Nobel Prize has been turned into nothing more than a popularity contest for the socialists of the world. It's scary that the election of a President of The United States has become the same!

The nomination period for this peace prize ended on Feb. 1st, 12 days after he was sworn in!!!!
What had he done in those 12 days to promote peace???????
What has he done so for?????????
