Hey AussieRider! You can go to the Tamarack website --go to the dealer section, and on the dealer locator punch in your zip code. It will show you dealers in your area. I would call the dealer and make sure they have what you are looking for in stock. You can also order directly off our website (all sales get processed through one of our E dealers--so we don't actually sell to you direct--it just gets shipped directly from us to you!) Happy Riding! (and let me know how much you like your new Tamarack bag!!)

Yes, the hard cases do present an issue in the case of getting "bumped" on an ATV. The bolted on hard box ended up causing about the only injuries. On the other ATV, the hard case had the polaris grip mounts and nicely went flying out of the way.
Hard cases (with a good weather seal) are nice that they *can* keep stuff dryer but does not necessarily guarantee it, though my soft case was surprisingly good at that as well (zippers need to be shielded well with a flap to help control dust, mud, and splashing water. Soft cases can fit odd shaped items better. I just wish soft cases were larger to "fill" the racks on the larger Utility ATV's. I've tended to use OEM boxes because they are designed to be the right size and mount points rather than using Universal boxes because they are more difficult to mount cleanly and are too small.
For me, trailering and storage covers are an issue with hard cases. Hard cases are more wind resistant on long drives, take a lot of room in the truck if you take them off, are harder to store in the garage, and prevent a cover from going on nicely. Fitting bulky items (helmet) is tough with a hard case, but a soft one will nicely accomodate them.
I've only used OEM and a competitors product so far and will take a look at the Tamarack products soon. I still haven't been truly happy with anything I've found.

I've done bolted on and quick release hard cases and velcro'd on soft cases, and yes, I'm torn on mounting methods. I loved the idea of a good sturdy mount and bolted a very rigid box on my arctic cat, until it became a brick wall in an impact. I'm definitely not saying that rigid boxes are inherently unsafe (in an impact), but there are things that could be done to minimize injuries. A padded back rest may have prevented quite a bit of injury.
I looked quickly at some of your products and it looks like almost anything designed for the back rack has a pad on it. I would recommend this highly and am glad to see it on your products. Design features like this may heavily influence my next choice in ATV luggage.
I will not dispute and will likely agree that they can act as a "roll cage" in a rollover. For this it's better to have it stay in place. I'm torn on whether a hard case should stay in place no matter what, or if it should have some type of give.
There are pro's and con's of hard vs soft and rigid vs flexible or break away mounts. I will add that in my personal opinion, if it has a seat built into it, it really must be bolted down to the ATV. Flying kids aren't really a good idea.
Sorry for the topic hijack.
Back on topic. My answer is probably "Get both" One for the front and one for the back.

The Titan Cargo bag is my first "real" bag. Tried many "other" bags & boxes but they were either flimsy or just did not do the job. I just came back from a 5 day trail ride in the Kiamichi Mountains in SE Oklahoma. The bag performed just as the website stated and hung tough. No dust (there was plenty of that) moisture or anything else. Used it like a lounger while resting on the trails and was plenty comfortable. Held everything the wife I needed for fun and emergencies. Easy on and easy off. Best money I ever spent!!!

I have a Honda Rancher 420. I personally use the Hard Box. It actually saved my ride. I rolled it off of a cliff at Brimstone in Huntsville Tn. and it did not hurt my ride because of the box. It flipped 4 times.

We, at Laboite Inc (we manufacture Tamarack brand boxes), hear that a lot from customers. Click here to read some of our testimonials!! Tamarack brand boxes are AWESOME quality and super-strong---we use virgin polyethylene (not a reground material that many other companies use) which makes a huge difference in strength!! All of our boxes come with a 2 year warranty--and we stand behind every one of our products. Check them out at your nearest ATV retailer--you can use our dealer locator here!

I'm still on the fence out hard or soft.....
Washing the quad with a soft bag sucks.....
I haven't found a hard box yet to fit everything I carry....I'm a photographer on the side and like
to bring my gear on rides.....nothing I've seen in the flesh can fit my tripod....
I'm looking at the Tamarack Titan.....riding buddy and fellow photog has one and seems
to be the closest fit so far.....
Using a Mad Dog now.....fits everything but the tripod....grrrrr.....LOL!!!

I have been ATV'ing since 1988 on Polaris ATV's. I have use soft bags of some sort to plastic tools chest. After the last soft bag from Polaris, (nothing but issues and headaches), I went with a Polaris rear hard case. It's not bad overall. Love the size and ability to carry lots of stuff.
I finally got another hard case for the 2nd Xplorer, this time from Tamarack. It's one of their Original Wrap-Around Quad Trunk style, back in 2002. Still in use today. I just got the 2nd Original Wrap-Around Quad Trunk for my 3rd Xplorer, since I do not care for soft bags and my plastic tool chest just was not cutting it anymore. So my vote is with hard bags for the area, style and length of rides my family tends to go on.
I do have some bones to pick with Tamarack though. The plastic fasteners are of a poor means to connect items (backrest pad) on case. They leave a sharp edge inside the box that can scratch/catch items inside of the case. Even to the point I got to be careful of scratching my own hands or arms when reaching inside. Tamarack should have used a rivet or some other means. This would have been safer and flusher fitting inside the box. Also the older classic box had outside handles, the newer one did not. I tended to use them for additional means of hooking bungee cords. I had to put on some U-bolts to achieve the same attachment points on the newer case. These are minor issues, and still did not stop me from getting another Wrap-Around Quad Trunk, after looking around at the competition.
Overall, I found these cases to be strong, very weather resistance. So far there Wrap-Around Quad Trunk has been for me a long lasting sturdy box without showing their age. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I prefer soft bags for the riding my groups tend to find ourselves in. Many times I've had to jump off quick to keep my wheels on the ground, or grab hold of a buddy's machine to keep him/her upright. We all started off with the hard stuff, and it's great for keeping stuff dry and safe, but the top tier (Mad Dog, Tamarack, etc) soft bags have improved dramatically in design, materials and construction.

Hello LSkrabut!!! Thank you for the great product comments for the Tamarack Quad Trunk! We always appreciate customer input--you are the people who use this stuff everyday and see the advantages and/or disadvantages of specific components of each product. Please note that the sharp edge inside the box you were talking about--we have been trimming the inside to be flush for about 11 months now. This was based on consumer feedback like this and we believe it has alleviated this issue. Thank you for affirming that we needed to do something about that!! Also the issue of the handles. The primary use of the handles was to remove the box on and off the rack when it has the quick-release system. Since the boxes come hard-mounted now (based on consumer feedback as well) the handles are now included with the optional Quick-Release system (sold separately) instead. Are you using the Quick-Release System? If you contact us at 1-800-269-6701 you can purchase handles (or other replacement components) to add to your box (although it sounds like you added others that are working for you!). Thank you for your awesome feedback!!

I am currently in the market for a box. I really like the Titan Deluxe lounger... but I can't get over how expensive it is. Maybe that is the normal range for boxes... but after spending 8500.00 on my new ATV... having a difficult time finding the money to purchase accessories. Anyone know a place that sells this model a bit cheaper?

I have always had bags but always wanted a box. After my last dusty trip where it sounded like i was tearing the zipper off tooth by tooth, I decided it was time for a box. I just didn't want to pay the outrageous prices and they tend to all be really big. Then I checked out the Tamarack boxes after seeing a story about them on Fisher's ATV World. I found the classic front box which is perfect. I mounted it to the back of my quad. It is the perfect size (it also forced me to get rid of some of the useless stuff I have been hauling around). Then I happened across a Tamarack "Universal" front bag on ebay for $25 brand new. What a steal!!! It wasn't the easiest thing to assemble but once I did, I had the perfect bag to throw on the front of the quad whenever I am going on extended ATV camping trips. I love my new box and my new zipperless bag!!!
My only question...Why don't I see the universal bag I bought on the website? Is it a discontinued model???
Thanks again Tamarack!!

My only complaint about a hard box is sometimes i try to over stuff my box. It can only take so much. The soft case will accomodate my excessive nature. Ther eare drawbacks to just about anything you choose. A well made product will cost you more, but you will end up ahead in the long run. These boxes are well built.

I'll have to say the loungers we just purchased make riding the kids alot more enjoyable for them as well as me.No more helmit to helmit banging. And the kids can see alot better. One of the big benefits is when the wife is on.No more scrunched up on the seat.Plus it makes it nice to do wheelies. The wife hates that but I just wear earplugs lol.But with anything I always have to modify them.I put a clasp on the front so the lids can be locked. Also put handles on the top for the rider. And the clasp holds everything tight/snug fit. Then around the sealed area I ran closed cell weather stripping to keep out the water and mud.I love these boxes, just had to make them better.
