If you can find a good socket head bolt long enough to go through the guide and head put a nut and washer on it and pull it in with the bolt but you will probably have to get someone to reseat it I have done a lot these about half you get lucky.

Freeze the guide overnight and warm the head a bit. Pop it in quickly.

Glad it worked out for you. I've done hundreds and hundreds of guides the way I told you to do it. Most went in like yours did. A few did not!!! At $75 bones a piece my boss did not like me to screw up!!!
Now have a good 3 angle valve job put on and your done. Double check the valve seal with solvent.

After your valve job is done and the head is assembled, prop the head up on a table with the port up. Pour some gas in the port and fill it up. If the valve job was done correctly, you should see no leakage past the valve. If you do, the valve job was not done correctly and needs to be fixed before the engine is put back together.
