Hello,
I have a 2004 Yamaha Blaster and almost every time I go to ride it the needle valve is either stuck open or closed. Nothing will un-stick it, not even banging on the carb with the wooden handle of a screw driver, vibrating the carb with a sander (Yes, a sander) or dropping the back of the ATV several times! My only last resort was to open the carb and pry it down with my finger nail. It wasn't stuck very much. This happened about 6 times until I finally resorted to taking apart the whole carbs float bowl and take out the needle valve. Once I got it out, it was scoured (spelling?) on the edges. I took a very fine file and got the edges off so it looked perfect. Got it all back together and was working perfect, until the next week when I tried to start it. Got it started, and was working fine until a couple minutes later down a trail right next to my house it started to stall. Stalled and not wanting to start, a nice walk home to get my utility ATV and tow it back. It just will not stop getting stuck. Has anyone else had this problem, or have a suggestion? Thanks.
