That's why I replaced the Lakota that my son liked with an ATP that I got a great deal on. Not that it would do well in unbroken snow. We went on a ride a couple weeks ago on a groomed snowmobile trail. (It was a charity ride open to both sleds and quads) The 4wd made a huge difference on the hills that the 2wd quads couldn't get up. My son doesn't get stuck as much anymore. I miss throwing the light weight quad around but like not having to constantly yank him out of bad places.

That's one of the things I liked about the Lakota. If it got stuck you could pull it out with the rear grab bar by yourself to get it up on dry ground. I wouldn't even try it with the ATP or the X2.
