I just got the official Word from the Hatfield McCoy people that the RZR is approved for use on the trails there.

I asked specifically about the BLUE trails and the said YES!!

All the other SxS's are restricted to the GREEN trails.

I didn't ask them about the Black trails.....I'm not interested in them at this point.

So, good news to us RZR owners!!!

Very good news indeed, Greg!

Who did you talk to? (not that it matters; yet it would be nice to know if this info is never published).

Great news for Polaris also; as you don't get any better publicity than touting the fact that your machine can go where others can't at one of the top places to ride anywhere in the world.(and I don't consider that an exaggeration when talking to anybody who has been there).

Forming a "Long Range Financial Subcommittee" in MI.:
Take two inexplicably expired term motorcycle reps. still serving on the board (one names yet another motorcycle rep)
Add 1 full-size and but 1 atv rep.
Arrogantly claim that the entire process should be finished in 4 conference calls with absolutely no public involvement or any meeting minutes recorded.
Result?
No complaint whatsoever from sheep-like atv clubs with literally tens of millions in play.

I sent an e-Mail, this was what I asked:

Good Afternoon,

I recently purchased a Polaris Ranger RZR and it is 50" wide. It was designed to be narrow enough to go on trails normally not passable by the wider UTV's like the Rhino, Mule and the Prowler.

I noticed that it isn't on your APPROVED list yet....probably because it's so new.

With it being 50" wide, will I still be restricted to the GREEN trails??

Please let me know.

Thanks

They just came back and said that "This machine is approved"

---------------

I wanted to make sure that they were not just adding the RZR to the list of others approved to be on the GREEN trails so I asked again:

Just to Verify...I will be able to go on the Blue Trails too wont I ??
I'm not interested in the Black Trails.

Thanks

GregV

They responded with:

Yes. Blue would be o.k.

You probably live down that way and enjoy that world-class riding all the time.
About a 10 hour trip for me. Was at the first H/M Trail Fest immediately after 9 / 11 and have been back several times since.
Great place; great people, proper enforcement...did I say great people?

The term 'world-class' (to me) just doesn't describe the trails; it defines the entire area...and the hard-working folks of the Appalachias deserve that distinction without question (some great history there).

Hey Gregv I was so glad to hear the news about the razor being able to go on the blue trails in WV. Hatfield McCoy trail system. We're leaving Maky the 16th for a week or riding and I just bought a new razor. We've be there several time but I always rode my foreman. Which done great and I loved it but recently I had surgery and have been unable to ride my formen so I bought a razor and so far I LOVE it. If you have any questions about the trails just drop me a line
