Hello all New Here hope this is right place . Have a kawasaki mule 2510 4x4 . Shifter won`t go into reverse at all, if you go to forwrd it makes a grinding noise . Is my transmission shot . Hasn`t been run in about two years. T.I.A.
was it working ok when it was set up 2 years ago? check the shift cable and make shure it is moving the shift arm completly to allow it to click into gear, also check the high low selector to be sure it is also clicked the shift arm into place, (you may have to disconnect the cable to do this) you can look through the belt cooling exhaust tube and see if the belt is still on the clutch, or you may want to check the clutches to see if one is dammaged or has come loose, other wise check the drive shaft / axle should and that should just abought rule out every thing except a dammaged transmission
