i just jetted my brand new quad with a dyno jet kit to the specs. it got rid of the bog and has excellent power now i also put a new fuel screw in also. i noticed that when i put it in neutral the header was bright red from the heat the fan will kick on and off and you give it throttle it really turnd red the over heat light doesnt come on. it just seems that the header gets real red is that normal or am i missing something im still running stock header and pipe till i can afford a new set any help or suggestions please

IF YOU PUT THE JET KIT IN CORRECTLY... DID YOU ADJUST THE FUEL SCREW TO SPECS?

Assuming you aren't running lean....don't sit around with it idling and getting hot. Get moving and that header will cool off....

I understand the header material is made out of something different (thinner) and gets hot faster. This is soposed to be normal and will not hurt anything. Did you also bump up your piolet jet? Do you have the airfilter lid off?

What RR said. When I let mine sit and run, especially when it is dark, my pipe is flaming red...let er' out and run!!

the pilot jet is still the same should i bump it up and the box lid is still on without the snorkel
