Seems like a great machine. If I had the money and was in the market, I'd get it

At my local dealers, these things aren't exactly flying off the floors....part of that may be that the desert riding season is ending, and folks won't be seriously thinking about a new machine until next fall.

Can't help but notice that there is a lack of reviews in here from anyone who has actually gone out and bought one! These reviews from media types are ok, but can be suspect because of the issue of not wanting to allienate Honda and lose advertising dollars (???).

The best review is from regular folks who spent their own hard earned money on the machine and can compare it to what they have previously ridden on their own home terrain!

I agree 100%. User reviews are always the best for anything from atv's, snowboards, vehicles, etc. I sometimes don't trust what is printed from sources from magazines. They may have a hidden ajenda or have sponsors from that company or other companies. I love reading what regular Joe or Jane has to say about a product. Then again this is a Honda machine so you cant go wrong

June DirtWheels says they didn't ride it, but they will shoot it out with the Raptor 700 next month.....which is so ridiculous because these are completely different machines! Sure, the uninformed will want to make the 700 vs 700 comparison, but not anybody who knows anything about how radically different these two chassis are. (The Rhino is a 700...they going to shoot it out with that too just because they are both 700's...demonstrates just how faulty that logic is....and where is the Kawi 700 in their comparison???)

First they should ride it by itself on a variety of different terrain and review it that way, then shootout with the Polaris which is the only other quad that is in the same class!

Honda's own ad shows a sea of Raptor 700's and KFX 700's "quaking in their boots" so to speak. Seems like those must be the machines they are aiming at and want to be judged against. Just the fact that they felt the need to put likenesses to other manufacturers product in their own marketing seems to show that Honda even is in a quandry as to which machines people will compare this against.

If honda is comparing this to the Raptor 700r and the Kawasaki 700 in ads then it needs to be in real life also. In my opinion I think it will fall between the two. Mainly because the Raptor is 686cc Injection just like the honda but dry weight is 109lbs less. That is alot. The Kawasaki is 696cc V-Twin, but it is 516lbs dry weight and has an Automatic CVT tranny. I just cant see where the Honda could run with the Raptor with the weight difference. I do like the IRS and the ground clearance since I am mainly a trail rider. Not sure why the have a taller rear tire than front. Would think that would hurt handling.
