i have a 2002 speed 440 that will not start

it turns over and backfires but it wont fire off

ive checked soo much stuff on it and i cant get it to start

Well lets try the simple stuff first.
Did you make sure the flywheel key didnt shear or the flywheel hasnt spun on its hub. thats very common.
The C on the word cannondale on the flywheel has to line up exacty with the keyway on the end of the crank. You need to remove the nut and washer to see this.
The othe biggie is the fuel line quick connects ,fuel strainer and lastly the fuel filter. When you look in the tank you should see a good stream of fuel shooting back into the tank from the return fitting as you prime the fuel pump.
