yeah you got your pink wire and lid off right?

even if you dont, he wont be able to keep up with you on top end, but the bottom end without the pink wire isnt much to be talked about.

I was beating my brothers ltr 450 by couple links before he put his cherry bomb on.

What is the pink wire? I'm consdering one of these next year....playing the sideline game of wait and see. I think you should be able to beat the YFZ but I don't think it will be a landslide. All depends on rider input.

You haven't heard of the pink wire come on man. j/k. They have a pink wire that you can cut and open a complete race map for free when you add a pipe and intake. Instead of having to buy a cherry bomb type of thing or complete fuel controller you have it there already.

if you add mods like exhaust/air filter, you cut a pink wire under that plastics and it unlocks a race map in the EFI unit to adjust for the added air flow. its like a cherry bomb but its free.

Just wondering how much the ds450x weighs? I know the yfz was the lightest until all these new 450s came out.

The regular ds450 weighs 445lbs, but I am not sure how much the "X" package adds to the weight.

I think you mean 345lbs. Its 5 pounds lighter than a YFZ.

Alot will depend on rider skill, and how much do you weigh and how much does your buddy weigh?
Where are you going to race, dirt? paved road? Sand? The highest gear you can launch in would be best, most likely 2nd.
and Yeah WOT Sitting on the gas tank.
You should keep yours completely stock for the race for a nice compario~then after the race cut the wire take the lid off open up the exhaust, and race again.
