Hi I have a 2002 polaris scrambler 2/4 and i whant to do some stuff to it first it has a problem were it has a lil bog when i first rev it if i let it sit without reving it for over 5 seconds. It has a k&n air filter and over siezed tires everything else is stock. I whant to put a clutch kit and possibly a carb kit. what is the best clutch kit for over seized tires? would i need a different intake for the carb kit? I whant the moste power for the smallest amount of money.

When i run my quad for 15 minuts it runs fine but it out of nowere stops and starts shaking and some valve tapping noiz then shuts off. this happpend 3 times to me and i don't know what it could be. after 15 minutes it starts back up. If anyone has a clue please reply.

some people told me it could be

deislling from to much carbon build up

the valves have to be adjusted

the k&n air filter might needd a carb kit and a different intake
Thanks

Valve adjustment is a good thing even if your not sure it needs it and it runs fine.

yea do u know were i would be able to get one done cheap? or is it something i can do myself. i have adjusted over head valves on my old race car with a v twin 600cc 4 stroke on methanal but i havn't adjusted anything but that. i know the adjustment made a big dif on that we did it 2 times a racing season but we reved the engine alot so they we always getting tight on the eghaust side.

The valves are easy to do if you've done the other 2 motor's you speak of.

As for a clutch kit we have kits for stock tires and for 27" + tires as well. Part #'s are on our website, and or you can call 651-982-6020 to order.

its not possible to put bigger than 27 inch tires on a scrambler unless you have a larger swingarm and i have the engine problem fixed now i just have a frame prob i broke were teh swingarm mounts 4 times now and now it is totaled to week to weld again so i am getting a new frame then i am going to sell this for a sportsman and i am going to put a clutch kit and carb kit maby eghaust kit 2 on that.

Yes you can put larger tires on the scramblers, we personally have not gone to 27's but we have had people call and ask for clutchign help with 27's on that bike.

Just remember if you do go bigger you have to keep the offset from front to rear the same as stock.

When I speak of the offset I mean the differance from front tire dia. to rear tire dia.

That needs to remain the same.

o but my scrambler isn't 4/4 so why would it matter? I find in the woods i get alot better turning in tight areas with the 24 inch than the stock 22 inch i also get threw more because of teh better ground clearance and better tred pattern.
