I am trying to design a vehicle very similar to a Mule that would have a gas engine the uses a generator to produce energy that would used by electric motors to turn the wheels.
This would give excellent torque. Also, there would not need to be a transmission and possibly no drive shafts if I put the motors right at the wheels.

Does anyone have any insight/thought/ideas for this?
I am looking for all feedback.
