I'm glad to know there are other Mammoth owners out there and that we can bounce questions off of each other! I get the feeling most Polaris/Yamaha/Kawasaki owners don't care much for the Chinese knock-offs so it is good to know there are at least a few folks that have and like them and are willing to share information.

I certainly never felt you implied in the least that you were going to sell them and don't see how anyone else could have gotten that from your post either...unless there was something removed from your post by the moderator that I never saw. All I had considered was a bunch of friends going together and buying a load so everyone could share in the savings. If that was a violation then I too apologize. I certainly have no financial stake in anything Kazuma sells.

Has anyone tried 27" or 28" tires on their Mammoth yet? I'm wanting to put some larger tires on mine, but I don't want to order something that will rub.

This site has pictures of one with what I think are 27" tires, but I don't know if they rub anywhere. They look really great with those 14" rims though.

The larger rims and tires definitely do make it look better. The stock tires and rims look a little small on the back anyway. Maybe it is because of the long suspension travel and the distance between the bad and the tires.
The one on the website looks great. There have been a couple more advertised on eBay that had larger tires and rims that looked good also.
As far as clearence, doesn't look like there would be a problem on the rear but don't know about the front.
I am getting ready to make a front windshield for mine out of 1/4" polycarbonate as well as adding some type of top.

Hi guys! I'm glad to see that some people are finally posting some stuff about this machine. I saw this machine mentioned some time ago, but couldn't find anything about it. I think that I'm going to try one out. Some of you guys have mentioned going together and buying a container of these to save some money. That is awesome, I'm in if we can get somebody to put it together.

Based on the information provided by Helidude, the rims from a Polaris Ranger will fit just fine as will many other Polaris parts. Ebay usually lists several Ranger rims, and rim and tire sets both new and used.

Can someone please take a look at the fuel mixture screw on the back of their Mammoth carb and see if there is a spring on the screw? I would really appreciate it. And if someone could post pictures of the carb linkage ( I want to make sure I am not missing any linkage) I would appreciate it.
Additionally, I e-mailed e-bikes support people and they are sending me a new bracket and a new mixture screw.
Thanks to everyone!

I am considering buying a 800 kazuma. I am too planning to pick mine up at the Norcross warehouse. Do you know what the hours of operation are for the warehouse, I am in the Columbia SC area and would like to only take a half day off to pick it up.

I'm sure Denise Pan can tell you at eBike. She called me yesterday and asked if I would be willing to talk to a prospective customer from Columbia, SC about my Mammoth and I told her sure. Would that happen to be you? I am in Western, North Carolina.

Never received it. She sent me a copy of the email you sent her and I think your email address may be on it. If so, I'll send you an email right now.

Old Timer, I'm an old timer too. I have just had a Mammoth 800 delievered yesterday and I have a yellow light that is located next to the ignition switch that keeps coming on and going off. when driving. I believe that it is an indicator for the electric fan on the radiator. Do you know what this is? It is not shown in the owners manual. The light seems to come on when the fan comes on. Also, should I lubricate the chassis prior to use and change the oil from the oil that came with the unit? I purchased the unit from a 4 wheels store and after delivery I have not been able to get in touch with the owner. Christmas I guess. Any information would be helpful from anyone. Thanks, Ron

cmsgtsmith, I think I can answer one of your questions, the light that comes on next to the ignition is the electric cooling fan indicator, the dealer told my dad that you should not shut the engine down while the fan is running, wait until it shuts off, I'm not sure why but would be interested in knowing?

Just wanted to set things straight.
The 800cc 3 cyl motor is NOT a geo motor. I was told this early on and found out that it is not true. Most parts are NOT interchangeable. THe geo is a 1000cc. THis is based on the suzuki F8B engine that is found in the Suzuki "Mighty boy" 4x4, suzuki capachino, and suzuki city baby.
You can down load the entire engine manual at buggynews.com under the above 450cc section.
Both replacement and performance parts are available for it if you know where to look, but not at your local auto parts store.
hope this helps

Overheating indications
Aarron of Couper's Classic Cars is a Mammoth dealers and also owns and runs one. he sells a temp fix kit for the mammoth for about $45 it includes a thermostat relocation and replacement of the temp probe. Claims it fixes the problem and makes the gauge more accurate. 802 645-9100 or www.cpi[ers-cars.com

How bad does the Mammoth tear up grass in a tight turn, like in a yard? I'm trying to decide if I want/need to pay more for a Ranger which has a Turf mode that unlocks the rear axle, allowing for tighter turns with-out ruining your grass.
Right now this is the biggest reason for hesitating on buying this much less expensive machine, I need to know from the owners out there.
Also, what kind of mpg do these 3 cyl motors get? I've read the complaints of the 800cc Polaris owners with EFI that are sub 10mpg.
Thanks to all that replied to my questions, but I made a decision today.
Well, I decided that a SXS was more than I really needed, so I choose the Polaris X2 and will take delivery next weekend.
