After sitting for about a month, I tried to start my granddaughter's mini and the battery was dead. So, I ordered one from Raceway. It came in, and now I can't get it to start. I have spark, and I smell fuel. Is there a valve adjustment like on the Kazuma that I need to check? Also, if I let it sit 2 day with the battery connected, it goes dead. Thanks for any advice.

Is it the 100 Utility you are talking about, because my sons worked fine for about three months from newor so then all of a sudden the batt was dead. I bought mine in may from raceway. I recharged the batt then it worked fine for two days, then after a week of not running It was dead again the batt was down to 3.4 volts. So now I am recharging it again and going to try it again. I am wondering if something is drawing the batt with the key off or while its running if the system is charging the batt correctly. Im in the same boat as you trying to figure out whats happening, if anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated. Btw, does anyone know how to check, with a tester or whatever, if the system is charging the battery, I assume its a magneto that is charging the batt while the machine runs along with the voltage regulator, if not please correct me. I do have the original battery that does seem to take charging good and dont want to spend 50 bucks if its not the batt. tks in advance.

Just did a little testing. Battery was fully charged to 12.46, started the machine it went down to 12.07, there are tail lights that stay on when it is started on the utility 100, revved engine and it went from 12.07 at idle to 12.26 as engine was revved, so I am guessing the charging system is working but I think I read somewhere in here it should be pushing the battery to about at least 14.0 volts when revving. As soon as I turn off the engine it goes back to 12.46.

OK, I got it to start. I guess lack of use?? Anyway, I got a new battery from Raceway, charged it, still no start. I recharged it, this time I gave it a little shot of ether, fired right up, and been starting and running fine since. Also, I had the battery discharge after sitting for 3 or 4 days this week. I'm going to try to run it every day for a little while. And yes, it's the 100 /110 utility from Raceway. The lights on this one are not on until you cut them on, and there are brake lights that come on when the brake is applied. I haven't checked the output voltage, but I will and post what I find.

Did you read my other post on how to disconnect the alarm by pulling the fuse under the front end, I am going to give that a try as I was reading other posts they say that the alarm / remote start is active all the time even without the key on and pulls power from the battery just sitting there hence dragging down the battery. I pulled the fuse yesterday and everything else still works with the key, just not the alarm / remote start. I am going to try that by letting it sit for a week then come back and start it. If you dont want to pull the fuse they say to at least disconnect the batt if you are not going to use it everyday.

Thanks for the tip. She wants to ride every day for now, and this evening when I got home it started fine. If the battery does run down, I'll try pulling the fuse. Thanks again.
