to un hook the rev-limiter all i have to do is un hook theC.I.D right ? witch is the little black box by the gas tank correct, by the way i would want to un hook it when im pinning the throttle because i have a 15 tooth front sproket and i was told that it would blow upo if it hit it...... and if i do un plug it till i stop and re plug it what is the consaquences of unpluging it ?????

the only way to remove the rev limiter is to replace the cdi unit with a after market one that doesn't have one.

The rev limiter will keep you from blowing up the engine. You could ride along bouncing off the rev limiter if you wanted to. You would blow up the engine if you removed the rev limiter.

like mywifesqaud says you will blow up the motor the gain you will get will not be enough to take a chance smoking the motor, be happy with the speed your getting and start saving your money for a used honda 300ex or something then you can go fast.
