i was wondering, if i was to use octane booster whould it hurt me more than help me or can the engine take it or not and does it help at all

octane is simply a chain of eight carbon molecules, lowering the flash point of the fuel, the result is the burn starts at a later crankshaft timing event. As in more quench and complete burn due to the higher cylinder pressure at the time if the burn. if the cylinder pressure never reaches the point of pre-ignition octane is not a factor.
