Hello All,

I am downsizing and looking for opinions. I have recently sold my 27' Haulmark enclosed, and will soon be trading my 2005 F-350 Crew Diesel. I am looking at Ford F-150 SuperCrews with 5 1/2 foot box. My question to all is anyone out there carring an ATV in the back of this truck. I realize it will not fit with the tailgat up, but will this be so absurd that I won't want to try? Any with experience and pictures? Thanks for the help.

dave, i wouldn't think of it as absurd, however i would want to know what your atv's weights are and what the tailgate is rated for. your likely well within the load rating. i perfer the 6.5 ft beds, the 5.5 ft will seem tiny after having 8 ft. then there's the payload in that 1/2 ton, that AC 700 may make it sag alittle vs alot. good luck dude.

I have hauled my 650 brute force (around 650lbs) in the back of a 07 dodge mega cab with its rear wheels sitting on the tail gate with no issue, Made me pretty uneasy the first time tho thats for sure. Must of looked back at it every 1/8 of a mile to make sure it was still there, even tho we had it very securly held down.
