I am new to the whole posting thing and hope this is the right section. I was wondering if anyone has put a ramp in the the back of a truck to lift the front end of the ATV so that it would fit in a 6.5 foot box. I have a 2007 F-150 Crew cab with a 6.5 foot box and my 2005 Polaris 500 HO with the front guard and rear bumper is too long. I pull a trailer and need the tailgate closed. Some of the people that I quad with have built ramps that lift the front but I was wondering if anyone had some advice. I need to make sure that it is high enough to clear but also need to put on a guard so that it does not go through my back window. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have seen people use the ramps that you drive a car up on to lift up the front of a quad to get a little more room. Then strap it down tight so it does not move.

That's what I do! It lets me close my tailgate even with 26" tires and a brush guard/bumper on my Vinson.

Anyhow, I had a buddy who carried a quad in a short box. He had a tool box mounted in the front of the box and just ramped it up on that...
