Anyone on here running the new Norton Internet Security 2006? I nstalled it and when I have the Norton Firewall enabled, all I get on this forum is nothing but a page of random symbols. Disabling the firewall allows it to show ok.
Do the folks in charge of this forum have any plans to repair the isssue with using Nortons' firewall?

I have Norton internet security with the firewall at home. The advertisements do not show up and I can post messages only about half the time. Everything else looks like it should. Elsewhere, without Norton and with a firewall, everything looks and works fine except posting....which is very slow for some reason?? Not sure what the deal is on your random symbols there.

Expanding on what Gary said, I don't think there is a problem with the forums and compatibility with Norton products. Your norton suite is designed to block these ads, which is likely what the firewall is doing. Sometimes it can get a little over protective and blocks out worthwhile images as well.

Thanks guys. Norton's firewall needs some work on their part. I have never had a problem with Zone Alarms' firewall and so I went back to it because for a free firewall....PC magazine says it's the best.

I guess I should have just renewed my subscription to Norton Anti-Virus 2005 instead of plunking down the money I did for the 2006 version of their security suite. Live and learn.

I'm using the Zonealarm suite; firewall, antivirus, anti-spyware package along with some 3rd party apps. Pretty simple and easy to use, but still offers a lot of control. I ran systemworks 2005, symantec corportate antivirus 8 through 10, and a few norton antivirus' over the years along with sysgate, black ice, and a few other firewalls in addition to the windows xp firewall. Long story short I'm back with zonealarm pro suite,

60 bucks from Zonealarms site, but I've seen it online as cheap as 35. That's for the full suite, upgrades can usually be found for free after rebate.

There is a link to zonealarm's page. I was going to post a link, but I cant get the java buttons to work.
