Does anyone know what the status is of Michigan trail systems? I have a place in Prudenville and I'm wondering what the status is of the trails up there. I've heard conflicting reports... The trails have been approved for use into town; however, the police are going to enforce ticketing regardless of what has been approved by city counsel...

Anyway, just checking.. the cops up there are a joke anyway. But, before I give one of those overzealous badge owners a chance to give me a ticket, I thought I'd check...

thanks

Check the DNR website http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,..._15070-38330--,00.html and look especially at #41 Leota and #42 Denton. If I remember right they almost go to the south part of town. Atlanta is also good and I heard Kalkaska is really good too. You can copy and print all 50+ maps right from the site or send away to Lansing for them if you don't have a printer. Some of the DNR Field Offices also have some maps.
