Had a great time with Frank, Audrey, Bradley, Paul and Bill... Perfect conditions for riding, Fluffchick commented that this was the best ride she has been on so far... I think she's hooked for Deadhorse now thanks to Paul's laptop full of Deadhorse pictures. The weather was perfect...rained on Friday night hard so we had no dust at all...The trails soaked up most of the rain so with the exception of the one area the tractors had graded up for repairs, it was perfect and that section that was graded and muddy was a ton of fun...We got to have fun in the mud and help maintain/pack the trail all at the same time.

Only had a couple of trail issues... Fluffchick's 4X4 worked great, tested hard in that muddy section with no issues. My digital display on my camera bought the farm...It still takes pictures though. Fluffchick's fog lights, thought we had one burn out but it turned out to be a loose lead wire. Not sure what happened to my headlights...I'll have to wire a new set in. I have had that set up for 4 years now and I think it's just time to replace the wiring to them. Last thing that was a small issue was the air intake on Fluff's Prairie...It tended to suck in the steam when she would hit the water hard and cause the motor to stall out on her. That should be an easy fix.

On the plus side...The recycled Ford floormats worked great in their new life as front mud flaps on my V-Force. I'm going to Wal-Mart this week and pick up some generic ones and trim those to fit so I don't have "Ford" on my V. The pictures don't show it, since my machine was by far the muddiest...2 reasons. 1) I had tires on for dry trails so if you don't have 4X4 when things get muddy, you have to rely on the throttle...2) my back wheels were actually throwing all that forward on me. Next little project is for rear mud flaps. Then the V will be a true trail ready machine.

Thanks to Sailorgriz for the help with cake and celebrating our 14th Anv...Fluffchick had no clue and really appreciated the thoughts and fun. Frank...Next time she said she is going for 3 Yeager Bombs after we are done riding...She downed 2 and still had no problem walking down the hall.
